Gateway Wiki Help
This help file is intended for those already familiar editing with MediaWiki. We have implemented a few extensions, that you might not otherwise be familiar with.
Email addresses
We want to prevent email addresses from falling to spam bots. So we have two services we use. The first is for the everyday wiki editor.
Usage: <email>myemail@aol.com</email> - This command will convert an e-mail address into an image so a spam bot can't detect it.
The second service is meant more for the sysops. We make use of reCAPTCHA links.
Spam links
Gateway makes use of MediaWiki's spam link system. So certain links like tinyurl won't be allowed on Gateway Wiki pages.
