In 1998, a new game named Angelic Layer was released. And it became very popular, very quickly, among girls and boys, young and old. It took a special, very expensive device to move the dolls called Angels, but the sight of a doll coming alive and moving to your thoughts was well worth it. You could make the dolls fight battles. You could win prizes and participate in tournaments. And you could buy a truckload of accessories to go with any single doll. It crept firmly onto TV, and every national tournament was held at a stadium bigger than the previous one. By now, Angelic Layer is the craze of the decade, and everything is looking good!
